Bayewu withdraws from Lagos West senatorial race

 

Twenty four hours after Lagos State Deputy Governor, Adejoke Orelope- Adefulire, announced her withdrawal to contest for Lagos West Senatorial District on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), another aspirant, Kamal Bayewu, has also withdrawn from the race.

In a statement made available to newsmen on Sunday, Bayewu, said he took the decision in the best interest of the party after wide consultations with party stakeholders.

“This is to inform all my numerous friends, supporters, well wishers and members of our great party (APC) in Lagos State and in the Diaspora, that after a very wide consultation, I hereby withdraw from the race to contest for the Senate seat of Lagos West Senatorial District under the banner of our great party, All Progressives Party,” he said.
