Senate Leader petitions PDP, wants state exco dissolved

The crisis in the Cross River State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has continued to rage, even as one of the principal participants in the power struggle has demanded the dissolution of the party’s state executive.

Leader of the Senate, Victor Ndoma-Egba, has petitioned the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Adamu Mu’azu, over his alleged suspension from the party by the Cross River State chapter of the PDP.

The Senate Leader, who has been at loggerheads with the Cross River State Governor, Liyel Imoke, in taking the matter officially to the National Working Committee (NWC) of the PDP, also requested the NWC not only to dissolve the state executive of the party in Cross River, but also take over all other processes relating to the outstanding aspects of the PDP timetable in the state.

Ndoma-Egba, in his petition on Monday in Abuja, explained that his purported suspension from the PDP came through a statement credited to the party’s chairman in Cross River, Ntufam  Okon, on Friday.
