*.1988 May 28 – Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan. El Kanemi’s Mark Odu became the first scorer after converting a 70th minute penalty kick in a 1-0 defeat of IICC Shooting Stars.
*.2007 June 6 – Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos. Enyimba’s Uche Kalu (not Super Eagles’ Kalu Uche) opened scoring in a 2-1 defeat of Wikki Tourists in a Super League contest after the maiden match (Enyimba versus Ghana’s Asante Kotoko) at the stadium’s inauguration on May 28 ended goalless.
